Internet access.
To use these
databases from outside CCHS, you will need usernames and passwords.

DICTIONARIES
When you hear people using strings of
letters (acronyms) to refer to something, do you wonder what they stand for? This website lists over 1,000,000 acronyms
and their meanings.
Six dictionaries are searchable from
this site, including a learner’s dictionary, an advanced American English
dictionary, and Spanish-English and French-English dictionaries.
Presents definitions compiled from
over 20 different dictionaries along with foreign language dictionaries, a
thesaurus, encyclopedia, style guide and more.
Extensive online
dictionary and thesaurus with many added features such as a visual dictionary,

Provides

quotations from over 3,100 authors, searchable by author, subject and keywords.
Online version of
the classic protocol guide for conducting business meetings. It is not searchable but a full table of
contents is provided.
Offers trivia in categories such as
geo trivia, today in history, entertainment trivia, name trivia, quotes and how
things work. Searchable
by keyword and subject.
