These academic levels are designed to meet the individual needs of each student. In keeping with the educational objectives of CCHS, every student will be expected to carry a full academic schedule each semester. Theology is required for all students. Academic Intervention Services (AIS) are provided in Grade Nine.
Minimum Course Requirements:
· Four years English, Social Studies, Theology · Three years Math and Science · One year Language other than English · One year Business and Art or Music · Four years Physical Education · One half-year Health
Testing:
· New York State Regents · Preliminary SAT (PSAT) · SAT and ACT · Advanced Placement Exams · Catholic Central Placement Exam
High School Elective Courses:
· Available from every academic department · Prerequisites must be met · Vary with individual course of study
Catholic Central High School provides students with instruction to enable them to achieve the State Intermediate and High School level state learning standards. Catholic Central adheres to all state assessments, language proficiencies, Regents Exams, and is New York State and Middle States Accredited.
