COLLEGE APPLICATION
PROCEDURE
APPLICATIONS
MAY BE SUBMITTED BY MAIL OR ON-LINE.
All
mail
applications
should be processed through the guidance office. Please submit the following
materials for all college applications you wish to send in the mail.
- The
completed application form done neatly, typed or printed.
- If
an essay is requested, please take the time to correct it before it is put
on the application or submitted with
the application. Have a good essay on hand, just in case you need it. This
will eliminate having to rush.
- Check
to see if the college to which you are applying requires official SAT I/II
or ACT scores. If so, go to www.collegeboard.com
to request the scores be sent to
the college.
- Letters
of recommendation required by college. It is your responsibility to request
letters of recommendation from the teachers or other persons. If the letter
is to be sent directly to the college, you should supply the teacher with a
stamped envelope addressed to the admissions office. The teacher may return
the letters to you in a sealed envelope or give it directly to the Guidance
Secretary. The teacher has no obligation to share this with you. Do not wait
until the last minute. It is very inconsiderate to expect this from a
teacher.
- Your
resume – see over an example of an activities/service resume.
- A
check or money order made out to the college for the application fee.
- Complete
forms which will be given to you by guidance.
- You
will receive a bill after the application is completed for the transcript
fee or postage.
ON-LINE
APPLICATIONS

you have completed the on-line portion of the college’s application:
- Make
a note of the password you used so you can go back in and make changes.
- Print
out a copy of the application (if possible) for your records
- Print
out a copy of the list of the colleges requirements. This list will include
many of the same items listed above in the mail applications.

and will assist you in sending your check, letters of recommendation etc.
