COLLEGE APPLICATIONS

It is recommended that all college applications be submitted prior to Thanksgiving break.  Now is the best time to process applications—before the rush!  During the rush period, the turn around time in the Guidance office can be ten days, so plan ahead.

Using the application procedure you received  this week, you should make sure everything is submitted well in advance.  You do not have to hand in everything at once.  We will keep anything you have completed in your college folder  and let you know what else needs to be done as you go along.  It is your responsibility to meet the college deadlines.  Do not wait for letters of recommendation or SAT scores to mail your applications.
Stop in if you have any questions.

Friday, October 2, 2007, is the registration  deadline for the SAT I and SAT II to be given November 3 at CCHS.   If you plan to take or retake the SAT I or SAT II, please apply online at  www.collegeboard.com.   The SAT I and SAT II are also offered December 1 at several area high schools.  Postmark deadline for the December test is Tuesday, October 30.  If you are applying to a very competitive college or university, they may require the SAT IIs.
