SNOWBOARD/ SKI CLUB 2009-2010

The club is open to students in grades 7-12. We ski at Jiminy Peak . Lessons are available and strongly recommended especially for first time skiers. Ski dates are Jan. 7, 14, 21, 28, and Feb. 4 and 11. Buses leave CCHS at 3:15 returning at 9 p.m. Parents/guardians must be at the school when we return.

We ski from arrival until 7:30; buses leave the mountain at 8 sharp. All students must on the bus at 7:45. Ski equipment may be rental however a special agreement is needed.

All students must ride the bus to and from Jiminy (No student may drive or ride with anyone). Special arrangements will be made if your parents/ guardians are at the mountain. Students absent from school on a ski day may not ski with the club. Policies for ELIGIBILITY hold for ski club check the handbook. Money will not be refunded.

Students are encouraged to bring a lunch and may eat on the bus or at the lodge (food at the lodge is very expensive). Our cafeteria will provide a lunch, ask Patty. Ski equipment may be left at school during the day. Neither Jiminy nor C.C.H.S is responsible for lost/ stolen articles on ski nights. The bus stays with us and is locked; students may leave textbooks etc. on the bus while they are skiing. Students must behave on the bus or they will be off for the next week.

Helmets ARE required for ALL students (No helmet, no skiing). The badges are not transferable. Anyone who drops out will be issues credit from Jiminy only, no cash refunds from C.C.H.S.. All rules in the handbook apply to Ski Club. A parent/ guardian must be available on ski nights in case we need to contact them.

All forms and payment can be handed in starting Oct 6th for the High School and Oct13 for the 7 and 8. We need to have at least 30 members and all payment in by Oct. 23. Checks (no cash), information sheet, medical consent form, permission slip, and price list all signed put in an ENVELOPE, and given to Mrs. Anglum. Anyone with questions may call the school ext 501.
