Dear Alumni and Friends of our School Community:

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 2009-2010 school year.  I am pleased to report to you that Catholic Central High School continues to grow and improve as we enter our new academic term.  It is a great time to be a Crusader!

Our improvements span many areas of our program, but I wish to share just a few with you.  Our facility improvements include new windows in the Monsignor Burns Memorial Gym building and a new practice field for our student athletes that was built in the footprint of the old Carly Field House.  The field was dedicated on the first day of school as the, Maximilian Kolbe Memorial Field.  We have implemented a new character education plan for the 2009-2010 school year, which will include our students embracing a significant social issue and working to improve things for less fortunate people.  Our Campus Minister, Mrs. Ann Pawlik, and Chaplin, Fr. Steve Moore, are resurrecting our student retreat program.  Our Drama Club will produce three theatrical performances this school year and our athletic teams continue to compete with the best programs in the area.  The list goes on and on, and is a great indicator that exciting things are happening at our school.

We could not fulfill our obligation without the financial and moral backing of you, our loyal alumni.  I invite you all to visit our website at www.cchstroy.org to view the variety of events and opportunities alumni have to assist your alma mater.

Know the extent to which we rely on, and appreciate your support of our school.  Feel free to contact our alumni office at 518-235-7100 if you would like to learn about ways that you could become involved with our school community.

Go Crusaders!!!!!!

Yours in peace,

Christopher Bott
