Catholicism

The Catholic Church is one of the biggest and widely known churches in the world. It was established in 1054 after the church split between the east and the west. The east and the west became known as the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church. We know this as the "Great Schism of 1054"

Jesus

Since 1054 the church has developed from a small population to a total of 1 billion people. Most of the people who believe in Catholicism come from Western Europe and the Americas. Italy is a big contributor to those who believe in Europe because the pope, who is the leader on land through God, is located in Rome,Italy. Seeing that the pope is the leader on land we know that God is the leader above all who rules from heaven. Besides the pope, Catholicism has bishops who are in charge of the 2,796 diocese in the world, and each diocese in led by priests and deacons.

Lutheran

The Lutheran Church is made up of two extremely similar organizations that follow the Lutheran way, one being the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the other being the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Martin Luther founded the church after his argument over basic ideas of the faith with the Catholic Church. The argument led to Edict of Worms in 1521 which excommunicated Martin Luther and all his follows from the Church.

Luther

The basics and main disagreements with the Catholic church was there way of going about forgiving sins and helping others through the Church. Also Lutherans believe that the only way to get into heaven is to trust in God and believe that he will give you his forgiveness and compassion. Lutherans also believe that if you believe in God you will get into heaven, and that no act of helping others or knowing the scriptures will get you into heaven.
